Nate is an attorney based out of Canton, Georgia; he has represented clients across North Georgia in civil and criminal legal matters since 2002. He attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1999 before attending the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He was awarded the Cali Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property Law. After graduating and joining the State Bar of Georgia in 2002, Nate joined the firm of Roach and Geiger in Canton. In 2006, he founded N. Cochran Attorneys at Law. As a lifelong Georgia resident, Nate grew up in Cherokee and later in Buford, Georgia, where his father served as football coach and athletic director for the local high school. His family has deep roots in Cherokee as at least eight generations on both sides of his family have resided in the county. Nate has been married to Kim Cochran since 2002. They have two sons, Noah and Jacob, and expect a daughter, Elizabeth, in the fall of 2013. They reside in Free Home, a small community in eastern Cherokee County that is a short distance from Canton. The Cochrans are members of Cumming First United Methodist Church, where they volunteer regularly.

A firearms aficionado, Nate has combined this personal hobby with his legal practice and launched a website serving the needs of clients who require NFA Firearms trusts. You can find the link here or on the home page of this website. He is also a hunter and enjoys training the family dog Marshal, who is a Brittany Spaniel. In addition, Nate is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Cherokee, a program sponsored by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce bolstering local leaders.
